JUPITER, Fla. -- A welcome sight was back on the field for the Marlins on Wednesday morning.
Giancarlo Stanton, who has not played since Saturday due to right knee soreness, went through warmups with the rest of the club.

The team hasn't said when Stanton will be ready for game-action. The slugger was moving around in the outfield and fielding balls during batting practice.
"Talking with the trainers, it sounded like he felt a little better today," manager Don Mattingly said. "We'll see where it goes."

The three-time All-Star right fielder last played on Saturday, and on Sunday he informed the club his knee was sore. Stanton had surgery on the same knee in July 2012.

Stanton did some light running and hitting in the cage on Tuesday, and on Wednesday he took batting practice with his teammates.
Stanton stretched and did some running and throwing, much without supervision of the trainer.
"Again, we'll see where we go," Mattingly said.
