SEATTLE -- Giancarlo Stanton was back to doing Giancarlo Stanton things in Miami's 10-5 loss to Seattle on Wednesday.
The Marlins slugger got all of a Felix Hernandez pitch in the third inning of Miami's series finale at Safeco Field, and he sent a ball to the nether regions of the ballpark that aren't visited very often. Stanton's blast reached the back of "The Pen" viewing section in left-center field, a 445-foot blast that left the bat with an exit velocity of 114.1 mph, according to Statcast™. Safeco Field is now Stanton's 25th park with a homer.

The homer was Stanton's fourth of the season, and it put him in rare statistical territory. Stanton is now tied with Carlos Gonzalez of the Rockies for the most homers in the Statcast™ era with distance of at least 440 feet (18). Thirty-one percent of Stanton's homers in that time have gone 440 feet or more, which is the highest in the Major Leagues in that span with a minimum of 10 homers hit.

Also, Stanton plays his home games in pitcher-friendly Marlins Park, while Gonzalez plays his home games in the high altitude of Coors Field.
