The 17th annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game takes place at 3 p.m. ET on July 12, and it can be seen live on MLB Network and MLB.com, with Matt Vasgersian, Dan Plesac, Heidi Watney and Jonathan Mayo on the call. In addition, SiriusXM Radio will broadcast play-by-play coverage of the event live on MLB Network Radio (XM channel 89; Sirius channel 209). Ranked by MLB.com as the Marlins' No. 5 prospect, Garcia is 2-2 with a 3.14 ERA in 13 starts with Jupiter. The lefty from the Dominican Republic was an international free-agent signing in 2010.

"A lot of guys think he's going to be a great Major League pitcher," said vice president of player development Marty Scott. "I hope they're right."

Garcia possesses a low-to-mid 90s mph fastball, and a quality breaking ball.

"He doesn't throw anything straight," Scott said. "Everything moves. Good mound presence."

In his Minor League career, Garcia is 20-18 with a 3.66 ERA in 79 games with 65 starts.

At Class A Greensboro in 2014, Garcia was 10-5 (4.38).

"He did well last year in Greensboro, and he's just progressing up the ladder," Scott said.
