The future looked very bright in the Big Apple on Tuesday.

Brett Baty did his best to live up to the hype as the Mets' No. 4 prospect came a triple shy of the cycle in High-A Brooklyn’s 11-5 win over Jersey Shore.

In the first inning, Baty opened the floodgates for Brooklyn with his first home run of the year, a solo shot off Phillies farmhand Josh Hendrickson. He followed that up with a single in the fifth and wrapped up the night with a double in the eighth.

Baty ended the night 3-for-4 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. He was very efficient in his at-bats as all three of his hits drove in a run.

It was a good day for the Cyclones. Not only did Baty get it done at the plate, but several other prominent Mets prospects did so as well.

Francisco Álvarez, New York's top prospect, belted his first home run at the High-A level in the eighth and second-ranked Ronny Mauricio slapped a two-run triple in the fifth.

The Cyclones collected 12 hits and had a total of 17 baserunners. Cyclones pitching struck out 10 BlueClaws for extra measure.
