The New York Mets will open their 2012 Spring Training schedule Monday, March 5 against the Washington Nationals at 6:10 p.m. at Digital Domain Park in Port St. Lucie, Fla. That game will mark the first of 15 home Spring Training contests.
The Mets and Yankees will play a home-and-home Spring Training series for the first time since 1996. The Mets host the Yankees at Digital Domain Park on Tuesday, April 3 at 2:10 p.m. and travel to Tampa Wednesday, April 4 at 12:05 p.m.
In addition, Manager Terry Collins' team will play the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals six times, the Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves five times each and the Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers four times apiece during the 31-game exhibition schedule.
The Mets will play one split-squad game on Tuesday, March 6. The Mets will host the Cardinals at 1:10 p.m. and travel to Kissimmee to the play the Astros.

The Mets in conjunction with Spring Training USA also today announced the launch of the 2012 Amazin' Getaways Spring Training packages with four Friday departures from New York scheduled for March 9, March 16, March 23 and March 30.
All packages include hotel accommodations, rental car and game tickets. The March 16 and March 23 package also includes a Meet and Greet with a Mets player or coach.
