Mets radio team of Rose, Lewin to return

Howie Rose and Josh Lewin will be back as the radio voices of the Mets for the 2014 season, when the club moves to its new home on 710 WOR, the Mets and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced on Thursday.

The pair has been calling games together since the 2012 season, when Lewin came aboard. He had worked as a television broadcaster for the Rangers from 2002-10 and was part of FOX's Saturday national baseball coverage.

Rose, who has been covering the team on radio since 1987, will start his 19th season as the Mets' play-by-play man when he and Lewin make their WOR debuts for a Feb. 28 Grapefruit League game against the Nationals. That will be the first of 15 spring contests that will air on the 50,000-watt AM station.

Regular-season coverage will begin with the Mets' Opening Day contest against the Nationals at Citi Field on March 31.
