Mets' annual holiday coat drive set for Wednesday

NEW YORK -- The Mets will host their annual holiday coat drive on Wednesday at Citi Field from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

Fans can drop off coats at the Mets Team Store adjacent to the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, with parking available in Lot G. Anyone who donates a coat will receive a voucher for one pair of tickets to a select Mets game in April 2014, as well as a coupon for 15 percent off regularly priced merchandise in the Mets Team Store that day only.

In addition, Zack Wheeler and Daniel Murphy will greet fans who drop off coats between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The Mets are running the drive in conjunction with New York Cares, the city's largest volunteer management organization. New York Cares runs volunteer programs for approximately 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies and public schools.
