NEW YORK -- Mickey Callaway has already experienced a host of firsts in his opening weeks as Mets manager, from his introductory press conference to his initial interactions with players. He is looking forward to one other in particular, as the Mets prepare to put their 2018 single-game tickets on sale Friday, Nov. 17.
Callaway, who spent five seasons as the Indians' pitching coach before coming to the Mets last month, said he is greatly anticipating the Subway Series against the Yankees from June 8-10 at Citi Field.
"I have been told these games are like the postseason," Callaway said. "The games are sellouts, and the intensity level is off the charts. I can't wait to be part of one."
Mets' 2018 schedule
Other highlights of the Mets' home schedule include Opening Day against the Cardinals on March 29, gnome night on May 5 and bobblehead night on July 7.
