Royals won't face Mets' Wright for rest of series

NEW YORK -- David Wright, who banged the first of the two two-run homers that beat the Royals on Friday night, won't be in the Mets' lineup for the rest of the series -- and beyond.

The All-Star third baseman was placed on the 15-day disabled list before Saturday's game with a strained right hamstring. He was injured while running out a single in the 10th inning of Friday night's game.

Justin Turner took over Wright's third-base position on Saturday and first baseman Josh Satin was swinging in Wright's No. 3 spot in the batting order.
