Summary

Turning Point
Cesarini gave the RubberDucks the lead on the first pitch of the bottom of the first. He launched a solo home run to the bullpens in right-center field to make it 1-0 Akron.
Mound Presence
Caden Favors was brilliant on Sunday afternoon. The left-hander fanned seven over 5.1 innings while allowing just two unearned runs. Adam Tulloch got the final two outs of the sixth. Michael Kennedy allowed two runs and struck out one in the seventh. Cam Walty, Zane Morehouse and Zach Jacobs combined to toss two scoreless innings to close out the win.
Duck Tales
Akron added on to the early with three straight two-run innings. Dean Curley got the scoring run started with a two-run home run in the third. Cesarini launched a two-run home run in the fourth. Nolan Schubart and Luke Hill each added solo home runs in the fifth. Akron added one more run in the sixth when Jace LaViolette lifted a sac-fly to score Jake Fox and make it 8-2 RubberDucks.
