(AKRON, OHIO) August 17, 2026 – Akron RubberDucks outfielder Ryan Cesarini was named Eastern League Player of the Week for Week 20, August 10 – 16.
Cesarini picked up nine hits in four games played against the Altoona Curve batting .474 (9-for-19) with six home runs and 11 RBI. He led the Eastern League during the week in batting average, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage (1.421), OPS (1.921), hits, extra-base hits (six) and total bases (27).
In the series opener on Tuesday, August 11, Cesarini hit three home runs becoming the first Akron batter to have a three-homer game since Bobby Bradley on June 27, 2017 against Erie.
Drafted by the Guardians in the 14th round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of St. Joseph’s, the 23-year-old Cesarini is in his first season with the RubberDucks. Since being promoted to Akron on July 17, he is batting .385 with seven doubles, eight home runs and 22 RBI in 21 games.
The Akron RubberDucks begin a six-game series at 7 17 Credit Union Park against the Harrisburg Senators on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:35 p.m.
