One of the best backstops to ever put on a Sod Poodles uniform will be immortalized on August 2 ahead of the series finale between San Antonio and Amarillo at 1:05 p.m. The first 1,200 fans ages 13+ through the HODGETOWN gates will receive a Christian Cerda bobblehead, presented by Happy State Bank!
Cerda spent two seasons in Amarillo from 2024-25, enjoying a cup of coffee with the club at the end of the ‘24 campaign before turning up his production in a full season with the team a year later. Cerda led the Soddies with 18 home runs in 2025 which set the single-season record by a backstop for the franchise. He provided unforgettable moments such as his iconic walk-off homer against the Arkansas Travelers on June 27 of last year, his three-homer game on August 17, 2025 against Corpus Christi in which he scored five runs
