
Springfield, MO–Jonny Farmelo homered and drove in a career high five runs as the Arkansas Travelers roared to an 11-5 victory over the Springfield Cardinals on Saturday night. The win was the Travelers’ 70th of the season. Farmelo drove in multiple runs in both of the Travs big early inning rallies. Hunter Fitz-Gerald finished the night with three hits and Josh Caron led a trio of players with two hits by ripping two doubles and driving in two runs. Starter Ryan Sloan closed his season by working four innings and allowing two runs on six hits. Conor Larkin was the winning pitcher out of the bullpen and Teddy McGraw recorded the final six outs for his second save.

* Farmelo opened the scoring with a two out, two-run single in the second inning. Two batters later, Fitz-Gerald ripped a single to drive in a run with another scoring on an error. Boston Smith followed with an RBI double to cap the scoring.
