Springfield, MO–Hunter Fitz-Gerald hit a late two-run home run but the Arkansas Travelers came up short in a 4-3 defeat to the Springfield Cardinals on Thursday night. The homer kept Fitz-Gerald's hitting streak alive at 12 games. Cardinals starter Tanner Franklin struck out eight over six innings while holding the Travs to just a run. Josh Hood and Austin St. Laurent each had two hits.
