Five Arkansas Travelers were named 2026 Texas League Postseason All-Stars it was announced today by Minor League Baseball. Headlining the group is Kade Anderson who was honored as the league’s Pitcher of the Year and one of four starting pitchers on the squad. Joining Anderson with postseason honors were first baseman Hunter Fitz-Gerald, second baseman Charlie Pagliarini, starting pitcher Ryan Sloan and reliever Charlie Beilenson. The Travs’ five selections matched the highest total of players for any club in the league and the most Arkansas players selected since having six honorees in 2019.
Anderson, in his first pro season, put together one of the greatest years ever by a pitcher in the history of the minor leagues. Over 18 starts, Anderson went 10-1 with a 1.06 ERA in 93.1 innings with 135 strikeouts, 13 walks and a .147 opponent batting average. Turning 22-years old late in the season, he led the league in victories and was sixth in strikeouts but did not have enough innings to qualify for the ERA title. He did not allow a run in 13 of his 18 starts. He is the first Travelers hurler since 2022 (Taylor Dollard) to be named Texas League Pitcher of the Year. Anderson was called up directly to Seattle from Arkansas and made his MLB debut on August 22.
Hunter Fitz-Gerald was selected as the postseason All-Star at 1st base. Fitz-Gerald hit .279/.338/.527 in 133 games with 37 doubles, 3 triples, 29 home runs, 100 runs batted in and 14 stolen bases. He led the league in games played and extra base hits while ranking in the league’s top five in doubles, homers, RBI, hits and slugging percentage. He became only the fifth Traveler in the modern history of the franchise (since 1966) to eclipse the 100+ RBI mark in a season.
Charlie Pagliarini was named to the All-Star squad at 2nd base. Pagliarini hit .264/.374/.498 in 130 games with 29 doubles, 3 triples, 27 home runs, 91 runs batted in, 81 walks drawn and 95 runs scored. He was in the top five of the league leaders in doubles, homers, RBI, hits walks, runs and extra base hits.
Ryan Sloan was bestowed with an All-Star honor as a starting pitcher. He threw 101.1 innings over 22 starts with a 4-4 record and 3.73 ERA. He ranked eighth in the league with 128 strikeouts and walked only 16 batters. He went 17 straight starts during the year without issuing multiple walks. The 20-year old, in just his second full pro season, allowed one or no earned runs in 11 of his 22 starts.
Charlie Beilenson was chosen as one of two relief pitchers on the squad. He tossed 40 innings in 29 appearances with a 2.03 ERA, 51 strikeouts and 11 walks. He posted a 3-3 record and eight saves which tied for the third most in the league. He was promoted to Triple-A in mid-July.
Founded in 1901, the Arkansas Travelers are the Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners and call CHI St. Vincent Field at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock home.
