Asheville, NC — Tourists Signature Events, the beyond baseball events arm of the Asheville Tourists baseball club, has announced the inaugural Downtown Diamond Dash 5k, starting at HomeTrust Park on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
“This inaugural 5K is about more than just a race—it’s about celebrating what this ballpark and our organization mean to this community year-round,” said Brian DeWine, Owner and President. “Even in the offseason, our ballpark is a gathering place, a landmark where people come together to create memories. “By taking the course through downtown Asheville and finishing on the warning track at HomeTrust Park, we’re creating a unique experience that brings people together and reminds everyone that this ballpark is a place for our community every day.
Race day check-in will begin at 7 a.m., with a day before pickup option available at the Tourists Box Office from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m on Friday, October 16th. Race registration includes one race bib with official timing by Right on Time Race Productions and a complimentary post-race craft beer or Powerade.
Race registrations through September 18, 2026, will also include an inaugural Downtown Diamond Dash t-shirt.
Spectators can cheer on their runners free of charge, while enjoying the ballpark atmosphere and select concessions available for purchase.
