September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and guys... a simple blood test can change everything!
The Bisons are proud to partner with Fans for the Cure and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Care to offer Prostate Cancer PSA Blood Test Screenings on Sunday, September 6 (12-2pm) before and during the team's game against the Worcester Red Sox at Sahlen Field (1:05 p.m.).
Screenings will be offered to eligible men age 40 and older who attend the game, depending on qualifying risk factors. Spots are limited, and while walk ups will be accepted, pre-registration at this link is highly encouraged.
When dealing with prostate cancer, early detection means everything as treatments are more successful and less invasive when the disease is detected early. If caught early, the relative five-year cure rate for non-aggressive, localized cases (most diagnoses) approaches 99 percent!
Before you enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at the ballpark with your family, take just a few moments to give yourself and your loved ones the assurance of a long and healthy future together!
Fittingly, the Bisons game against the WooSox is BrightPath Kids Family Funday with pregame Mascot Meet n' Greet for the kids, special activities during the game and postgame Kids Run the Bases, presented by Platter's Chocolates. Get your tickets now and join us as Fans for the Cure!!!
