The Bisons return home to Sahlen Field this week to host the Norfolk Tides for a six-game series. When they do so, they will be facing five of the Baltimore Orioles Top 30 prospects, according to MLB Pipeline.
That includes a pair of pitchers who sit inside of the organization’s top 10 entering the week.
LHP Luis De León is currently ranked seventh, the highest of any player on the Tides roster. He made his Triple-A debut this past Saturday against Worcester, pitching five and one-third innings over the weekend. De León allowed just one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts. The left-hander also made 19 starts with Chesapeake, totaling 81.0 innings.
RHP Trey Gibson is ranked eighth, in his second season with Norfolk. The Newport News, VA native also made his Major League debut this season when he started against the New York Yankees on May 3. He has made seven starts and eight overall appearances for the Orioles, in addition to 12 starts with the Tides.
Ranked tenth is OF Enrique Bradfield Jr. He was the 17th overall pick in the 2023 draft following a standout season at Vanderbilt University. In 188 at-bats for the Tides this season, he has a .250 batting average with a .327 on-base percentage. He has 19 RBIs, two home runs, and 21 stolen bases on the year to lead the team.
Nester German is the number 13 prospect in the Orioles organization, according to MLB Pipeline. The righty was a 13th round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft out of Seattle University. German made his Triple-A debut last season with two starts before the end of the 2025 season. He is 5-5 with a 3.90 earned run average across 21 outings, that includes 19 starts, totaling 101 and two-third innings.
Creed Willems is ranked as the number 17 prospect for the Orioles. The catching prospect has also spent time at first base for Norfolk this season, appearing in 78 games in his first season at Triple-A. Fourteen of his 16 total home runs this season have been hit as a member of the Tides, ranking second on the team.
