Sahlen Field will be the place 'to be' for Shakespeare lovers on Monday, August 24 as we open up the field for a special stop of the Shakespeare in the (Ball)Park "Fools and Foes" summer touring program.
The 60-minute program is FREE for fans to attend with show time in right field beginning at 6:30 p.m. Fans can enter via the centerfield fence area off the parking lot at 64 Exchange St. starting at 6:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, some snacks and enjoy any amazing collection of Shakespeare's notorious clowns and villains. Fools and Foes will feature this amazing collection of scenes:
- Scene 1 – Othello: Act 2, Scene 3
- Scene 2 – The Merry Wives of Windsor: Act 3, Scene 2
- Scene 3 – Richard III: Act 1, Scene 1
- Scene 4 – Twelfth Night: Act 1, Scene 5
- Scene 5 – Macbeth: Act 2, Scenes 2 & 3
- Scene 6 – Henry IV, Part 1: Act 2, Scene 4
- Scene 7 – Two Gentlemen of Verona: Act 2, Scene 3
- Scene 8 – King Lear: Act 1, Scene 2
- Scene 9 – The Tempest: Act 2, Scene 2
- Scene 10 – Romeo & Juliet: Act 1, Scene 1
- Scene 11 – A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Act 5, Scene 2
