CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Knights and the ACCHL are proud to once again present the 704 Outdoor Faceoff, a series that will feature four college hockey games played under the lights at beautiful Truist Field.
The action begins on Friday, November 20 with South Carolina and Virginia Tech. Puck Drop will be at 7:30pm with the gates opening at 6:30pm.
Saturday, November 21 pits two rival universities going head-to-head in a rematch of last year’s 704 Outdoor Faceoff with Charlotte taking on Appalachian State. This is the fifth straight year Charlotte is playing in this event.
"It is an honor to work with the ACCHL and host eight prominent universities across four games this winter,” said Charlotte Knights VP of Special Events, Troy Rodrigues. “Outdoor hockey at Truist Field creates an incredible atmosphere and a unique experience for fans and athletes alike. The Knights are pleased to bring this prestigious series back to Uptown Charlotte for the community to enjoy.”
Two more matchups are on the schedule right after the calendar turns to 2027. North Carolina faces off against Wake Forest on Friday, January 8 and NC State battles Liberty on Saturday, January 9. Both contests begin at 7:30pm with the gates to Truist Field opening at 6:30pm.
