September 16th, 2026

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Lookouts have officially set a new all-time franchise attendance record, welcoming 336,312 fans to Erlanger Park during the team’s inaugural season at its new downtown home.

The Lookouts reached the milestone on Sunday, September 13, drawing 5,620 fans for the final game of the 2026 home schedule against the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The season total surpassed the previous franchise record of 292,920 fans, set in 1994, by more than 43,000 fans.

The 2026 total also represents the highest attendance for a Southern League team since 2019, when the Birmingham Barons drew 379,707 fans.

The record-breaking season came during the first year at Erlanger Park, the Lookouts’ new 8,300-seat ballpark in Chattanooga’s South Broad District. The venue opened April 14 with the first professional baseball game played at Erlanger Park, beginning a new chapter in Chattanooga’s long baseball history.

Fans responded immediately to the new facility. The Lookouts welcomed more than 29,000 fans during Opening Week, including three sellouts during the six-game homestand against the Montgomery Biscuits. Opening Day featured a sold-out crowd with standing-room-only attendance as Chattanooga celebrated the opening of Erlanger Park.

The 2026 season marks another milestone in the Lookouts’ more than 130-year history in Chattanooga. The franchise began professional baseball operations in the city in 1885, and its inaugural season at Erlanger Park has now produced the largest attendance total in franchise history.

The record also represents a significant milestone for Chattanooga’s new South Broad District venue, which was developed on a historic industrial site and is designed to serve as a year-round destination for sports, entertainment, concerts, community events and other activities.
