Bowie, MD (October 26, 2026) – The Chesapeake Baysox are excited to announce start times for their 69-game home schedule throughout the 2027 Eastern League season. The Baysox are excited to welcome fans back to Prince George’s Stadium for another unforgettable campaign of exciting action and family fun.
Opening Night and Marquee Dates
The Baysox open their home slate on Tuesday, April 6, at 6:35 p.m. against the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.
Families can celebrate at the ballpark on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9, and Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20. Both games are against the Akron RubberDucks, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, with first pitch at 1:05 p.m.
On Independence Day, the Baysox host the Somerset Patriots, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, under the lights. First pitch on Sunday, July 4, is set for 6:35 p.m., followed by postgame fireworks to celebrate America’s birthday.
“2026 was a season loaded with fun events, and we can’t wait to welcome fans back in 2027,” said Baysox General Manager Brian Shallcross. “From Opening Night to fireworks on the Fourth of July, our staff is already hard at work to make every game a memorable experience for family and friends across the Chesapeake region.”
Midweek Matinees
The Baysox will host three Baseball in Education Days in 2027, each with an 11:05 a.m. first pitch:
- Thursday, April 8 vs. Richmond Flying Squirrels
- Thursday, April 22 vs. the Harrisburg Senators, Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals
- Wednesday, May 5 vs. Akron RubberDucks
Baseball in Education Days feature STEM activities and demonstrations on the concourse, along with educational packets for participating schools.
On Wednesday, July 28, the Baysox host Summer Camp Day against Richmond, with first pitch at 12:05 p.m. It’s the perfect afternoon outing for summer camps.
