COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Columbia Fireflies announced that Faith & Family Night presented by Scout Motors returns to Segra Park Saturday, August 22. This year, the Fireflies are pulling out all the stops to provide an evening jam-packed with entertainment. The night kicks off with a pre-game concert from rising Christian artist Sam Wesley presented by HIS Radio 92.1. During the game, fans will witness performances from the ZOOperstars! team and post-game Segra Park will light up the sky with a fantastic fireworks display.
Wesley is the son of MercyMe front man Bart Millard and the subject of Lionsgate’s biographical drama I Can Only Imagine 2, which came out February 20. Since the movie came out, Wesley released a handful of singles, including Make It Well from the movie and Holding on to Me. Welsey is featured on the MercyMe single On Our Way. Wesley will perform on the Scout Deck from 4:30-5:30 pm prior to the game.
During the game, the Fireflies welcome back one of the most popular travelling acts in America—ZOOperstars! Since 1998, the inflatable mascot act from Louisville, Kentucky has been shared over 100 million times on social media and has graced hundreds of stadia across the United States with their memorable skits. Harry Canary, Tim Tebull and other hilarious mascots return to Segra Park to bring even more family fun to the game.
Finally, after the Fireflies light up the scoreboard, the club will light up the night sky with a fireworks show post-game at Segra Park. The Fireflies return home for 12 games in 13 days from June 30-July 12.
