The Columbia Fireflies will once again transform into Los Chicharrones de Columbia as Copa de la Diversión presented by Southern Recipe Small Batch returns to Segra Park for three special celebrations on June 11, June 12 and June 14.
Copa de la Diversión is a Minor League Baseball initiative designed to celebrate the traditions, culture and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the United States. Through unique team identities, special programming and community engagement, Copa creates opportunities to connect baseball with the fans and families who help make communities stronger.
For Columbia, the Fireflies become the Chicharrones de Columbia.
Inspired by one of the most beloved foods found throughout Latin America, the Chicharrones brand celebrates the rich culture, traditions and diversity of the Midlands’ Hispanic and Latino communities.
This year’s Copa celebration will feature live music, soccer-themed entertainment, exclusive giveaways, specialty food items and a Sunday pig roast that promises to be one of the most unique events of the summer.
Southern Recipe Small Batch will also give away bags of chicharrones after each game.
Futbol Fiesta Kicks Off the Celebration June 11
The celebration begins Thursday, June 11, with Futbol Fiesta Night.
Coinciding with the opening of the World Cup, Segra Park will embrace the excitement of the world’s game with soccer-themed entertainment throughout the evening. Fans can enjoy $1.50 Budweiser cans and enter for a chance to win a Chicharrones prize pack plus four tickets to a future Fireflies game by predicting which nation will lift the World Cup trophy.
Fans will also enjoy a special performance from Mariachi Orion as they help bring the sights and sounds of Latin culture to Segra Park.
Scarf Giveaway and Live Entertainment June 12
The Copa celebration continues Friday, June 12, with one of the most anticipated giveaways of the season.
Fans can receive a limited-edition Chicharrones futbol scarf while supplies last, combining the passion of soccer culture with Chicharrones pride in a unique collectible.
Mariachi Orion returns to Segra Park Friday night, with additional live entertainment planned throughout the evening to keep the celebration going.

Sunday’s Pig Roast and Classic Car Show Headline the Finale
The celebration concludes Sunday, June 14, with a special Chicharrones Pig Roast and Classic Car Show.
In addition to Chicharrones baseball, fans can enjoy a special Latin-inspired menu served in left field, featuring:

Live music from Latin Caravan will help create a festive atmosphere throughout the afternoon as fans celebrate the final Chicharrones game of the season.
The day will also feature a classic car show showcasing vehicles from around the Midlands, followed by Kids Run the Bases after the game and full team autographs on the field with the entire Chicharonnes roster.
