A couple powerful swings from Adam Zebrowski helped the Columbus Clingstones (31-27, 60-62) support a sparkling start from Cam Caminiti in a 3-2 series-opening triumph over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (37-20, 73-53) on Tuesday night at Synovus Park

Decisive Plays: Ethan O'Donnell smacked a solo home run in the second inning that proved to be the only damage allowed by Caminiti on Tuesday. Columbus tied the game on an RBI single from Owen Carey in the fourth inning. Zebrowski fired the Clingstones in front in the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run (16) and added to the Clingstones lead with another solo shot (17) in the seventh inning. Pensacola drew a run closer on an RBI double in the eighth inning from Adrian Santana, but Duncan Davitt (S, 2) slammed the door by striking out the side in the ninth.

Key Contributors: Zebrowski (2-for-3, 2 HR, 2 RBI) led the Clingstones offense while Carey (1-for-4, RBI) added an RBI. On the mound, Caminiti (W, 6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 SO) twirled a gem. For Pensacola, Santana (2-for-4, 2B, RBI) and O'Donnell (2-for-4, HR, RBI) had both of the Wahoos' multi-hit games and RBI.

Notable: Caminiti recorded his first winning decision with Columbus behind a Double-A high eight strikeouts. Zebrowski has homered in five-straight games at Synovus Park. Columbus improved to 32-31 in home games this season.
