Eric Hartman lit the fuse with a solo home run and the Columbus Clingstones (27-23, 56-58) erupted for a franchise record 14 runs in a rout of the Montgomery Biscuits (27-22, 62-57) on Saturday night at Synovus Park. Columbus leads the series 3-2.
Decisive Plays: Hartman drilled his first Double-A home run (1) in the bottom of the first inning to start the scoring for Columbus. A two-run double from Luke Waddell in the second built to the lead 3-0, but Columbus really got going in the fourth inning, with a two-run home run (14) from Adam Zebrowski and a solo home run from Luke Waddell (9) one batter later. Montgomery scored both its runs in the seventh inning on an RBI double from J.T. Arruda and an RBI groundout from Bryan Broecker to cut the deficit to 8-2. Columbus punctuated its night of power in the eighth inning with a pair of two-run home runs from Jordan Groshans (26) and Adam Zebrowski (14) to stretch the lead to 14-2.

Groshans set the new single-season franchise record with 72 RBI, surpassing Ethan Workinger, who had 70 in 2025. Zebrowski tied the franchise record with his third-straight game with a home run.
