Decisive Plays: A two-run double from JT Arruda gave Montgomery a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Trailing 3-0 in the fourth inning, Columbus got on the board in the third inning on an RBI triple from Owen Carey and pulled within a run on an RBI single from Carson Taylor in the fifth inning. Montgomery bounced back with three runs across the sixth and seventh innings and put the game away on back-to-back home runs from Caden Bodine and Xavier Isaac to start the eighth.

For Montgomery, Arruda (2-for-5, 2 2B, 3 RBI) delivered two run-scoring blows while Bodine (2-for-6, HR, 2 RBI) and Isaac (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) went deep for the Biscuits.
Notable: Columbus lost its second game of the season when collecting at least 13 hits. Lodise recorded his first Double-A multi-hit game. Carey posted his first three-hit game in Double-A.
