COLUMBUS, OH - The hottest hitter on the planet, Guardians top prospect Ralphy Velazquez, crushed three more home runs Saturday night. Ralphy's hot bat thrilled the over 8,400 fans in attendance at Huntington Park, but the Clippers fell to the St. Paul Saints, 15-11.
Velazquez clubbed a solo homer in the 3rd inning and a two-run blast in the 4th. In the 8th inning, he went deep yet again, his 20th long ball since being promoted to the Clippers from Double-A in May.
The loss gives Columbus an overall record this season of 65-57, while St. Paul falls to 72-52.
The series against St. Paul concludes Sunday. It will be Family Day at Huntington Park presented by Medical Mutual. Bring the kids early - the first 500 through the gates receive a Clippers victory bell courtesy of Dor-Mar. And stay to the end for the postgame fun run around the bases presented by Panda Express.
