Alonzo Tredwell made his first appearance in 11 months, holding Wichita to one run on one hit and four walks with three strikeouts over 3.2 innings. Tredwell, recently activated from the 60-day IL, threw 22 of 54 pitches for strikes.
Andrew Marrero, making his Hooks debut, entered in the fourth and yielded an RBI single to Jake Rucker before striking out the next batter to strand runners at the corners.
Enter Nolan DeVos who authored a season-best eight strikeouts against two hits over the final four frames.
Having allowing just three runs over his last 20.1 innings, DeVos is 3-1 with a 1.93 ERA thru five Double-A assignments. The 26-year-old from Harrisburg, North Carolina ranks second in the Astros system in strikeouts, breezing 103 batters in 85.0 innings.
Trevor Austin recorded half of the Hooks hits, going 2-for-4 with a first-inning double. Walker Janek and Alberto Hernandez recorded the other CC singles.
