WICHITA - The Wind Surge held Corpus Christi to four hits Thursday night, handing the Hooks a 5-1 setback at Equity Bank Park.

Hooks starter Brett Gillis left the game after facing the batters due to an apparent injury. Caden Kendle provided a parting shot with his fourth home run in a span of five games.
Kendle plated two more with a two-out base hit to left in the second as part of a three-run frame.
Alex Santos II, who notched a strikeout to strand three inherited runners in the second, breezed four batters over 2 1/3 shutout innings from the Corpus Christi pen.
Jose Guedez struck out four in two perfect innings, teaming with Santos, Amilcar Chirinos and Hudson Leach for 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball.
The Hooks mustered their four hits in the first four innings, culminating with an RBI double by Walker Janek. Janek is hitting .318 with seven extra bases and 12 RBIs over his last 17 games.
