MIDLAND - Trey Dombroski fired six-innings of one-hit baseball Sunday afternoon, but the RockHounds rallied for six runs in the seventh to steal the 2026 finale from Corpus Christi, 6-5, before 2,270 fans at Momentum Bank Ballpark.

In settling for a split of their final series, the Hooks finish the year with a 62-76 record.

Corpus Christi jumped in front with a two-out uprising in the second, thanks to a two-run double by Jack Moss and a two-run single by Will Bush.

Moss hit .286 with a .423 on-base average and six RBIs in six games to start his Double-A tenure.

Corpus Christi's fifth run came in the fifth courtesy of a two-out RBI double by Tyler Whitaker. Along with his 10 home runs, Whitaker finishes the Texas League season with 15 doubles, 52 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases.

Dombroski permitted only three base runners in his second quality start of the season. Thanks to a double play and caught stealing, the 25-year-old lefty from Wall, New Jersey matched his longest outing of the year at six innings, throwing 40 of 65 pitches for strikes.
