Dayton, Ohio – Kettering Health and the Dayton Dragons are teaming up to honor Healthcare Heroes and celebrate 100 years of Kettering Health Dayton on Sunday, September 6 at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District. First pitch for the game against the West Michigan Whitecaps is set for 1:05 pm.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at 12:00 pm to honor a century of service and enjoy pre-game plaza activities, family-friendly entertainment and opportunities to recognize the healthcare professionals who have helped care for generations of patients and families.

“We are very proud to have partnered with Kettering Health since the Dragons inaugural season in 2000,” said Dragons Team President Robert Murphy. “For 100 years, Kettering Health has been caring for generations of families, and this milestone is a remarkable testament to their commitment to the community. We are honored to celebrate this incredible legacy with them and the healthcare heroes who have made it possible.”

The "Dayton 100" game will honor a century of healing, service and innovation that began with the Dayton Osteopathic Hospital and continues today.

"As we round third base and head closer to celebrating our 100-year anniversary at Kettering Health Dayton, it’s important to reflect on a century of high-quality, faith-based care that began with Grandview Medical Center’s osteopathic roots,” said Rick Dodds, President, Kettering Health Dayton. “With the help of one of our valued community partners, the Dayton Dragons, we have the opportunity to commemorate this landmark milestone alongside the people we’ve been privileged to serve for the last 100 years."

This night will include pre-game activities on the plaza, a ceremonial first pitch recognizing a Kettering Health Dayton staff member, healthcare heroes’ recognition, and more. Kettering Health will also host a FREE celebration on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Kettering Health Dayton located at 405 W Grand Ave, Dayton, OH 45405.
