5:00 PM UTC

Dayton, Ohio – The Dayton Dragons and Cincinnati Reds are partnering for the fifth annual “Reds Day at the Dragons” for the Dragons game on Sunday, August 9 at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District.

Fans from across the Miami Valley and Cincinnati area are invited to celebrate the long-time partnership between the two clubs when the Dragons battle the Great Lakes Loons. Gates open at 12:00 pm, and first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm.

Reds Day at the Dragons will feature Gold Glove winner and former Dragon Tucker Barnhart, along with Reds mascots Gapper and Mr. Redlegs, and the Reds Rally Pack. The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame will have a travelling exhibit set up with artifacts and memorabilia from Reds history.

Tucker Barnhart was the Dragons starting catcher in 2011 when the team went to the playoffs and set a club record that still stands for most victories in a season.  That year, Barnhart won the Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove award as the top defensive catcher across all levels of the minors.  Barnhart went on to enjoy a 12-year major league career beginning in 2014 with the Reds, winning the National League Gold Glove award in both 2017 and 2020.  He retired after the 2025 season.

In addition to guest appearances, the Dragons’ famous in-game entertainment will be Reds focused with Dragons Green Team members joined by Reds Rally Pack members.

A special ticket package is available for Reds Day at the Dragons. For just $12.50 per ticket, fans will receive one Dragons lawn ticket, one Dragons hat, and $5 in Dragons baseball bucks. To purchase, visit: daytondragons.com/redsday
