Partnership would complement—not replace—the Jackie Robinson Ballpark name and its historic legacy
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Monday, September 21, 2026 — As a transformative, multi-phase renovation of Jackie Robinson Ballpark nears completion, the Daytona Tortugas announced today that the organization is actively pursuing a naming rights partner for the playing field or a presenting sponsor for the historic venue.
Any future strategic partnership would be structured to complement—not replace—the Jackie Robinson Ballpark name. Jackie Robinson’s name, story and lasting impact would remain at the center of the ballpark’s identity.
Potential naming structures could include “[Partner Name] Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark” or “Jackie Robinson Ballpark Presented by [Partner Name].” Under either approach, Jackie Robinson’s name would remain prominently featured as part of the venue’s official identity.
“Jackie Robinson Ballpark is one of the most historically significant venues in all of sports, and preserving Jackie’s name and legacy is non-negotiable,” said Jim Jaworski, President and General Manager of the Daytona Tortugas. “This opportunity is about finding a strategic partner that understands the importance of this ballpark and wants to invest in its future while helping us celebrate the history, community and values it represents.”
A Historic Ballpark Entering a New Era
The naming rights opportunity comes as Jackie Robinson Ballpark approaches the completion of an extensive $40 million renovation.
The multi-phase redevelopment represents one of the most substantial improvements in the ballpark’s history. The project has modernized critical areas of the facility, enhanced the experience for fans and partners, improved player-development spaces and positioned the ballpark to continue serving the Daytona Beach community for decades to come.
Among the major additions is the new AdventHealth Training Center, a modern, MLB-compliant player-development facility featuring upgraded clubhouses, recovery areas, training spaces and indoor hitting facilities.
The renovation also introduced the Daytona Beach Club Presented by Progressive Medical Research, a new premium hospitality destination featuring approximately 3,000 square feet of climate-controlled indoor space and 102 outdoor seats. The club provides an elevated experience for Tortugas games while creating a year-round destination for meetings, celebrations, corporate events and community gatherings.
Additional improvements throughout the venue have enhanced the ballpark’s appearance, functionality, fan amenities and hospitality capabilities. Together, the upgrades combine the historic character of Jackie Robinson Ballpark with the modern features expected of a first-class professional baseball and community venue.

Preserving an Irreplaceable Legacy
Jackie Robinson Ballpark holds a unique place in baseball and American history. On March 17, 1946, Jackie Robinson played at the ballpark during spring training, breaking Major League Baseball’s color barrier.
It is the oldest ballpark still used in Minor League Baseball. It sits on the Florida Black Heritage Trail and in 2024 was designated as National Commemorative Site. It is currently under consideration by the Department of Interior as a National Historic Landmark.
A Unique Partnership Opportunity
Jackie Robinson Ballpark is home to the Daytona Tortugas, the Single-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The Tortugas host 66 regular-season home games annually, and the venue welcomes more than 100,000 fans each season in addition to visitors attending Bethune-Cookman University baseball, community events, nonprofit programs and private functions.
