Tampa, FL – The Dunedin Blue Jays were held to only five hits across their two games as they were swept by the Tampa Tarpons in their doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
In game one, Jake Bennett socked a two-run homer, but Dunedin lost an early lead as Tampa scored five unanswered runs on three home runs to hand the Blue Jays a 5-3 loss.
In the nightcap, Dunedin was shut out for the seventh time this season and second time in their last three games, falling 2-0 in a ballgame that saw both teams record only two hits, with neither Tampa run being earned.
