Dunedin, FL – Aldo Gaxiola’s grand slam highlighted the Dunedin Blue Jays’ first doubleheader sweep of the season, as they took down the Palm Beach Cardinals in both ends of their twin bill to earn the series win on Sunday afternoon at TD Ballpark.
After losing an early 3-0 lead in game one, Jake Cook came through in the 6th with the go-ahead RBI single, and Landon Waters kept Palm Beach off the board in the 7th to clinch a 4-3 win.
Dunedin exploded for seven runs in the 2nd inning of game two, highlighted by Aldo Gaxiola’s grand slam, on their way to an 8-3 win to claim the doubleheader sweep and series win, their third straight victory.
