Parker's Big Day, Messina's Gem Earn Split

Lakeland, FL – JoJo Parker enjoyed a big day at the plate as the Dunedin Blue Jays split a doubleheader with the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Friday night at Publix Field, falling 11-1 in game one before tossing a one-hit shutout in a 6-0 win in game two.

In game two, Carson Messina, Reese Bassinger, and Landon Waters combined to spin a one-hit shutout, with Lakeland recording its first hit on a leadoff double in the 6th inning.

Each of Dunedin's last three wins have come in shutout fashion, and Friday marked their sixth shutout victory of the season.

The last time the Blue Jays allowed one hit or fewer in a game was when Kendry Rojas and Grayson Thurman combined for a seven-inning no-hitter at Daytona on September 2, 2023.
