The Oklahoma City Comets beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 14-7 Friday in the completion of Thursday's suspended game. The game resumed in the top of the fifth Friday and Oklahoma City outscored El Paso 9-2 in the final five innings of the game.
The Chihuahuas hit four doubles in their three-run bottom of the second inning, including an RBI double by first baseman Nick Pratto to move his career-high hitting streak to 14 games. El Paso catcher Anthony Vilar went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk, and he reached base seven times in his first eight plate appearances in the series.

The Chihuahuas had two runners in scoring position with no outs in the bottom of the seventh of the seven-inning game Friday, but ended up leaving the bases loaded without scoring the tying run. The Comets have won three games in a row after the Chihuahuas took the series opener.
El Paso shortstop Mason McCoy led off and went 3-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases. McCoy has 39 steals this year and is three away from tying Tim Lopes' team single-season record set in 2023 with two Chihuahuas games remaining in 2026. Pratto went 0-for-4 to end his hitting streak at 14 games.
Oklahoma City starter Christian Romero moved to second in the Pacific Coast League in wins with 11 and he struck out six Chihuahuas, raising his season total to 115, which is also second-most in the PCL. Comets outfielder Alek Thomas reached eight times in the two games.
