The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Tacoma Rainiers 4-1 Saturday afternoon to win for the second time in the first five games of the series. Evan Fitterer pitched five shutout innings in relief for El Paso.
The Chihuahuas scored twice in the top of the third and added single runs in the fifth and ninth innings. First baseman Nick Pratto led off for the first time this season and went 2-for-5 with an RBI double to move his hitting streak to 11 games. Pratto has five hits in his last two games. Third baseman Marcos Castañon went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and he's 8-for-19 in the series with four doubles and two walks.
Miguel Andujar played left field in his fourth MLB Injury Rehab game with the Chihuahuas and he went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Andujar has four doubles in his four games with El Paso. Shortstop Rosman Verdugo hit two singles in his first career Triple-A game after being added from High-A Fort Wayne's roster on Friday.
