The El Paso Chihuahuas scored three runs after the sixth inning Wednesday to break a 2-2 tie and beat the Salt Lake Bees 5-2. The teams have split the first two games of the series.

Shortstop Mason McCoy hit a solo home run with two outs in the seventh to put El Paso in front 3-2. McCoy also stole two bases, bringing his season total to a team-leading 27. Carlos Rodríguez and Nick Solak had RBI hits in the eighth inning to add to El Paso's lead. Catcher Ethan Salas had a single and a walk and has reached base in all 11 Triple-A games he's appeared in.

El Paso starter Jagger Haynes didn't allow any earned runs in five innings. Former Salt Lake pitcher Hans Crouse picked up the save against his former team and hasn't allowed any runs in four appearances with El Paso. The Chihuahuas have won four of their last five games.
