San Diego Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove allowed one run in 3.1 innings in his first MLB Injury Rehab start in Triple-A this year. He struck out two, didn't walk anybody and threw 53 pitches. Musgrove previously pitched for the Chihuahuas on rehab for one start in 2023.

El Paso center fielder Carlos Rodríguez went 2-for-5 with a three-run, go-ahead triple in the top of the seventh. Rodríguez had 11 hits, including three triples, in the series. Catcher Ethan Salas went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in the seventh, his second homer in the last three games. This week was the first time the Chihuahuas won or split a series since early July, when they won four of six from Sacramento.
