The El Paso Chihuahuas brought the tying run to the plate late for the third consecutive game Thursday, but lost to the Reno Aces 6-4 at Greater Nevada Field. It was the Chihuahuas' ninth straight loss, which is their longest losing streak since 2024.
Rodolfo Duran scored from third on a Reno double play in the second inning, giving the Chihuahuas a 1-0 lead. It was the third time in the first three games of the series that El Paso scored first. The Chihuahuas' other three runs came on an RBI triple by Carlos Rodríguez and a two-run home run by Nick Pratto, his fourth homer with the Chihuahuas in 37 games. Rodríguez' triple was his fifth hit and third extra-base hit in the last two games.
Hunter Stratton pitched a scoreless seventh inning for El Paso in his first game in the San Diego Padres organization after being traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
