The El Paso Chihuahuas led 9-7 in the eighth inning Thursday night but lost to the Albuquerque Isotopes 16-10. The Isotopes have won the first three games of the series.
Dustin Harris led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run to center field, the first Chihuahuas leadoff homer since Samad Taylor's on April 22 against Reno. El Paso left fielder Carlos Rodríguez went 4-for-5 with two RBIs, his first four-hit game of the season.
Ethan Salas caught his first game for El Paso and went 2-for-4 with two RBI doubles and a walk. Salas was El Paso's designated hitter Wednesday and has multiple extra-base hits in each of his first two games with the Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas reliever Michael Flynn threw his ninth consecutive scoreless outing and hasn't allowed any runs in his last 11.1 innings.
