The Salt Lake Bees scored four runs in a 10-batter top of the ninth inning to come back and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 8-7 Saturday night at Southwest University Park. The Chihuahuas never trailed in the game until two outs in the ninth inning.
Chihuahuas shortstop Mason McCoy went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk. His third hit was his 300th of his Chihuahuas career, making him the seventh player to reach 300 career hits with the team. McCoy also stole three bases, moving his season total to 30, which is tied for second in the Pacific Coast League. The Chihuahuas stole six bases Saturday, two shy of their season high, and they've stolen 17 in the first five games of the series.
El Paso first baseman Marcos Castañon went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk. It was his team-leading 15th home run of the season and the fourth of his career against Salt Lake in 13 games. The Bees have won three of the first five games in the series.
