August 20, 2026 — PASCO, Wash.: Fueled by an 11-run outburst across 13 hits, the Everett AquaSox took down the Tri-City Dust Devils 11-5 in front of 1,521 fans at Gesa Stadium on Thursday night.
Everett’s offense came out of the gate firing, exploding for six runs during a fruitful top of the first inning. Carlos Jimenez hit an infield single and Korbyn Dickerson doubled, placing early pressure on Dust Devils pitcher Yeferson Vargas. With the pair in scoring position, Brandon Eike, Ricardo Cova, and Luis Suisbel each delivered an RBI single to provide the Frogs an early 3-0 lead. Delivering the final blow of the inning was Cesar Quintas, who smashed a three-run home run for his first long ball as a member of the AquaSox.
Leading 6-0, Jimenez launched a solo home run to lead off the top of the second. The blast was his fourth of the series, and he has now homered in three consecutive games. Additionally, his home run total on the 2026 season now stands at 19. Tri-City plated their first run in the bottom part of the inning as Slate Alford hit an RBI single, evening the impact of Jimenez’s homer.
Alford chipped away at the Frogs’ lead during the bottom of the fourth, drilling a three-run home run for his first Dust Devils homer while reducing his team’s deficit to three runs. However, the AquaSox added three runs back in the next frame, jumping ahead 10-4 as Cova smacked an RBI triple after Eike doubled and Suisbel crushed a two-run home run.
Across the final two frames, Cova drew a bases-loaded walk for Everett and Capri Ortiz hit a solo home run for Tri-City, making the final score 11-6. The AquaSox bullpen starred to close out the game, allowing just two hits in 5.2 innings of work to secure the Frogs’ first victory among the six-game Northwest League series.
