September 3, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Propelled by a 14-strikeout night from their pitching staff, the Everett AquaSox took down the Spokane Indians 5-2 at Avista Stadium to earn their third consecutive victory of the six-game Northwest League series.
Everett found scoring ground first, taking a 4-0 lead during the top of the fourth inning. With one out and runners on the corners, Cesar Quintas ripped an RBI single into left field to open the scoring, and Carter Dorighi walked to load the bases following Quintas’ base knock. Facing an 0-2 count, Anthony Donofrio belted a bases-clearing triple to deep center field, furthering the Frogs’ lead by three runs.
AquaSox pitching excelled to begin the night, holding the Indians out of the scoring column for the first five innings of the game. Left-handed starter Mason Peters struck out six batters across four shutout innings of work — all while allowing just one hit — and right-hander Jose Geraldo added one scoreless frame.
Providing the AquaSox an insurance run in the top of the sixth inning was Brayden Corn. Making his AquaSox debut, the 23-year-old Corn lasered an RBI double into left field to score Donofrio, who reached base by walking. Keeping the score 5-0 was Everett right-hander Casey Hintz, who struck out four across two scoreless innings of work.
Spokane finally found the scoring column during the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring their first run as Robert Calaz hit an RBI double after Roldy Brito reached base on a bunt single. They further chipped away at the Frogs’ advantage during the game’s final frame, scoring one more run as Max Belyeu hit an RBI double, but the AquaSox ultimately locked down their 5-2 victory as right-hander Christian Little recorded the game’s final out.
