September 3, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash: Minor League Baseball today announced the Player and Pitcher of the Month Award winners for August 2026 in Major League Baseball’s player development system, and Everett AquaSox infielder Brandon Eike received recognition as Northwest League Player of the Month.
Eike, a 24-year-old infielder from Powhatan, Virginia, was named Player of the Month following an incredible August from the batter’s box that saw him achieve a Northwest League-best .359 batting average to go along with a first-ranking 33 hits, 11 doubles, .459 on-base percentage, and 1.089 OPS. Additionally, the VCU alum ranked second in runs (21), RBIs (24), and total bases (59) for August while ranking third in slugging percentage (.630).
Serving as a top run-producer for Manager Ryan Scott’s lineup, Eike totaled nine multi-hit performances in August, and he also knocked four hits during Everett’s game on August 18 at Tri-City to tie his career high for hits in a single game.
Overall, Eike has turned in his best season as a professional, starring throughout his 2026 campaign. Originally a 13th-round selection (No. 393 overall) of the Seattle Mariners during the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Eike has hit .291 to go along with a Northwest League-best 24 home runs, 28 doubles, and 122 base hits. He has also collected four-hit performances in three games this season.
Eike and the AquaSox return to action at 6:35 p.m. tonight, facing off against the Spokane Indians at Avista Stadium. The game may be heard on KRKO 1380 with Pat Dillon on the call or watched live for free on Bally Sports Live.
