August 14, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Led by heroics from Carter Dorighi, the Everett AquaSox walked off the Spokane Indians 3-2 to secure their fourth consecutive victory in front of 2,299 fans at Everett Memorial Stadium on Friday’s Mental Health Awareness Night.
After it took AquaSox starting pitcher Colton Shaw just 16 pitches to complete his first two innings of work, his team’s offense backed him with two runs worth of support during the bottom of the second. Austin St. Laurent and Luis Suisbel singled to create a scoring threat, allowing Anthony Donofrio to break the scoreless draw with an RBI single. Extending the lead was Dorighi, who lasered an RBI double into right field to plate the Frogs’ second run.
Clayton Gray and Cameron Nelson doubled in consecutive two-out at-bats, bringing home the first Indians run of the night. Shaw kept Spokane off of the board after Nelson’s run-scoring swing, departing after twirling 5.1 innings of one-run baseball. The right-hander struck out five — four swinging and one looking — while walking just one before departing. Spokane knotted the game 2-2 later in the sixth, tying things up when Tanner Thach scored on a wild pitch.
The 2-2 gridlock held until the bottom of the ninth inning when the AquaSox delivered the walk-off swing. Cesar Quintas led off the frame with an opposite-field double, later advancing to third base as Donofrio grounded out. Providing the game-winning hit was Dorighi, who lined an opposite-field single down the third base line to plate the winning run in Quintas.
With their victory, the AquaSox are now tied with the Vancouver Canadians for a berth in the 2026 Northwest League Championship Series.
