September 2, 2026 — SPOKANE, Wash.: The Everett AquaSox blew out the Spokane Indians on Wednesday night at Avista Stadium, locking down a 14-2 victory fueled by a 15-hit outing offensively and a 14-strikeout night from the pitching staff.
Brandon Eike opened the scoring for the AquaSox during the top of the first inning, hitting an RBI single after Matthew Ellis and Aiden Taurek singled. Everett furthered their lead to 5-0 with a three-run third inning, extending their advantage as Carter Dorighi drew a bases-loaded walk and Cesar Quintas smacked a bases-clearing double.
Everett had another scoring outburst during the top of the fifth inning, bringing home another four runs. Taurek led off the frame with a solo home run, and Quintas hit an RBI single after Eike doubled. Homering to score the final two runs of the inning was Anthony Donofrio, whose two-run blast raised his home run total to 10 for the 2026 season.
The AquaSox raised their run total to double-digits in the final two frames of the game. Taurek drew a bases-loaded walk to score the Frogs’ 10th run, and Luis Suisbel hit a solo home run to lead off the top of the ninth inning for his 18th home run of the year. Donofrio collected his second extra-base hit by knocking an RBI double, and Luke Stevenson hit into an RBI groundout to continue the rally. Scoring the 14th and final AquaSox run was Donofrio, who scored on a wild pitch.
AquaSox pitching excelled throughout the night, allowing just two runs on six hits while striking out 14 and walking only two batters. Left-hander Reid Easterly made his first start of the season, turning in three shutout innings to go along with five strikeouts, and right-hander Pedro Da Costa Lemos dealt three innings of one-run baseball while striking out four. Left-hander Caleb Franzen also turned in a scoreless outing, striking out two across two innings.
Providing the only Indians offense of the night were Wilder Dalis and Max Belyeu, who each hit a solo home run.

LOOKING AHEAD: The AquaSox continue their six-game series against the Spokane Indians, High-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies! The series is the Frogs’ final of the 2026 regular season, and Game Two is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, at Avista Stadium.
