August 26, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Powered by a 14-hit outing from their offense and eight shutout innings of pitching, the Everett AquaSox took down the Eugene Emeralds 11-6 Wednesday night at Everett Memorial Stadium in front of 2,034 fans on the final Silver Sluggers Night of the 2026 season.
Everett’s hitters attacked Eugene’s pitching early, taking a 5-0 lead after two innings of play. Brandon Eike hit into an RBI groundout in the bottom of the first to kickstart the scoring, and the AquaSox brought in four runs during the second courtesy of Luis Suisbel, Carter Dorighi, Carlos Jimenez, and Aiden Taurek. Suisbel led off the frame with a solo home run to extend his franchise record for home runs in an AquaSox career to 40, and each of Dorighi and Jimenez delivered an RBI double. Taurek rounded out the scoring, adding a sacrifice fly.
The AquaSox found another scoring burst during the bottom of the fourth, adding four more runs to go ahead 9-0. Batting with the bases loaded, Matthew Ellis roped a two-run double to center field, and Suisbel cleaned up the bases by driving in the remaining two runners with a two-run double of his own that was lined to right field.
Putting the Frogs into double-digit runs during the bottom of the eighth was Ellis, who hit into an RBI groundout after Taurek walked and Eike doubled. Furthering the lead to 11-0 was Austin St. Laurent, who brought home Eike on a high-chopping infield RBI single.
AquaSox pitchers combined to shut out the Emeralds across the first eight innings of the game, allowing just three hits along the way. Taylor Dollard, Pedro Da Costa Lemos, Wyatt Lunsford-Shenkman, and Calvin Schapira each had scoreless outings that spanned multiple innings, and each of Lemos and Schapira struck out four.
Eugene rallied for six runs in the game’s final frame, but the efforts were not quite enough as the AquaSox locked down an 11-6 victory for their first win in the six-game Northwest League series.
From the batter’s box, Jimenez tallied five base hits, one RBI, and two runs scored, and each of Ellis, St. Laurent, and Suisbel had multi-RBI performances.
